This is the most simplistic way I have seen it described...
"One way LSDs can only lock up during accelerative motion. Conversely, two way LSDs function at the same lock up during accelerative and decelerative motion.
Meanwhile, 1.5 functions both ways as well, but the lock up during deceleratiion is partial. Of course, lockup only occurs if there is slip in the first place."
