Default Broadfoot Racing 968 Cat-Back

I'm with Josh and thought I would try to increase a bit of traffic to the forum.

Has anyone run across the Broadfoot Racing 968 Cat-Back? I'm not familiar with it but it does look very nice from the pictures on their site, and the price doesn't seem any worse than most. I'm not familiar with Broadfoot but they do seem to have a fair amount of bad posts so if anyone can chime in that would be interesting as well.

I never had seen their cat back set up in person before. But, I know their work is top notch. I bought a racing 951 short block from them back in 2004.

Yeah it seems like when I first got into a 951 10+ years ago Broadfoot seemed to come up fairly regularly.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, plus I like the fact that it's polished. I'd imagine it's pretty loud though.

That looks great, I want one! There's a carbon fiber muffler option for $175 which could save a couple more lbs.

Yeah I was thinking the weight savings alone would be nice.

powerhaus used to offer a cat-back with a CF muffler. They did way with the CF muffler because they would crack from stones, etc.

The BF Racing looks high quality. Wonder what it would do to the power curve.

Nice looking piece. Has anyone installed it? Any pre or post dyno runs?

based on that design with a canister muffler...i would guess you will see a small 1-3HP gain up top and a loss down low and in the midrange. Good set up for a Turbo car w/ 3" piping.

that said, BFR makes high quality parts based on my experiance.

i think these cat back systems often look good. this one is no exception. they all sound too loud imo. i had a similar set up that was too loud. then the muffler actually broke on a deep pothole.... sounded even worse at that point. now i have a 22"X11"X5" Magnaflow. i wish you all could hear it. it's quiet and makes the engine sound rather exotic when nearing wot.... i'll make a video before pulling the engine.

I think the ticket for this setup might be a 2nd CF muffler in the old resonator location. When it comes time for my custom cat-back I'll ask if this is an option.

I would be carefull with CF exhaust components. Powerhaus did way with them for a reason. I just ordered a new Muffler for one of my bikes because my current CF muffler is starting to crack.

Anybody have recent experience purchasing from Broadfoot? Their 968 exhaust looks really good and there’s enough room to add a second muffler where the stock resonator is, if a quieter sound is desired.

How is this system any improvement on the B&B system that already has a nice resonator as well as their proven mufflers with the Helmholtz tubes to get rid of drone? Is the Broadfoot system cheaper?

Just curious
