Default Trade 2011 Boxster for 968?

Want to trade my almost new Boxster for a nice 968. I love the Boxster but it is not very practical for me to have. Need a rear seat and coupe. Looking for a trade + $'s. My car is pretty basic with Bose and windscreen. Has 6 spd and 17" factory wheels. Car only has 1500 miles on it since new. Car is in like new condition. Arctic silver and black interior. Garage kept with cover. Would like to find a nice 968 with full service history with under 100000 miles. Only want a stick. Would also be interested in a nice 928 with stick or 996. The 996 might have too small of back seats though? Have 2 small kids that fit nicely into my 944, but want to upgrade to a more powerful, nicer, newer Porsche.

Hi DS,
FYI, with a 968 you don't have to give up the "open air" driving experience to make your ownership experience a family one. I also wanted to haul my kids around and the US cab are easily converted to having rear seats for the kids. Euro and Canadian 968s had them from the factory but the US cars came with the glovebox unit. I did the conversion and we did many shows/cruise nights with the car, that was until my older kids turned into teenagers and grew legs, then it is a bit cramped back there. The conversion is simple, you just need a set of lap belts from a 924/944. The seat belt nuts are already in the floor.

Here's what it looks like:

Great info Jeff! Will consider a cab too then. Nice to have the open air driving.

nice work Jeff.... a stock Boxster is very nice. TPC Turbo Boxster, even better... 968 ? basic creature comforts and a lot of dated components that can stay or go. inside the engine bay, things are fine for many people, unsatisfactory to others and a very tall order to improve via supercharging, turbocharging or V8 conversions. tough call.
