sad truth is that 968 owners are some of the effin' lamest. otherwise they'd be here making an appearance once in a while to help make this forum worth all that it could be and also to take advantage of having on the board, Jeff who really goes out of his way to keep the breed, and for the guys like myself who screw the cars royal.

If you started from the beginning...it would take you longer to save up for a 356, then make 356 posts, than to save up for a 968, then make 968 posts!
Also, I think there's a reason why people mod 951s so widely and 968s are kept comparatively stock...it's because our cars are really a more complete package to begin with. Ideally they'd have a lot more power, but they really are fun sports cars even at stock power levels. The big four with VVT has nearly the power of a 951S with much smoother delivery, and the rest of the car is just more polished. Because all they really need is more power, and there isn't much to do to the engine besides an expensive NA->FI conversion or an expensive engine swap, most people just leave it the way it is. 951s start with a pretty half-assed engine (too little displacement, AFM fuel control, old-tech turbo), but because you've already got the FI groundwork, there are a million different incremental steps on the road from a stock 951 to a 3.0L 16v dual ball bearing turbo with standalone MAF-metered engine management. Very, very few people with 951s get to THAT final step...which is pretty much the first and last step for 968s.

i'm very tired and the first post sucked so i fixed it-... the lame ones to which i refer are those who don't ever or RARELY post, and of course those who only use other 968 forums.

guys go shopping for 944 turbo motors, boost to the limit and then blow headgaskets or worse..... when what they really need is a turbo spec 968 engine running moderate boost.
my car has a misfire.... missing 4 cylinders.
yap, i'm changing from 250 hp and 160 mph to 500 hp and 190 + mph...
