Default Parade 2011 Savanah GA

Today was the opening day for registration for the Porsche club parade event in Savanah GA. If you are a PCA member and are thinking of going then get yourself signed up. I'm bringing minty and the family (chase car Audi coming as well). It should be a great show.

I'm planning on going with the 968, my father in the 997.1 C4S, and my grandfather is likely flying in. Should be fun!

It should be a great time. In addition the the Porsche parade we will be celebrating the 100 anniversary of the Vaberbuilt Cup. There will be some special tours along the original track route..

the sign-up took about a half-hour, but I got us a seat at the concours dinner, a volunteer assignment, and a bus trip to the Brumos shops in Jacksonville, should be a good time...

maybe we can organize a formation flight down from the northeast ?

The parade is July 31st through August 6th.

Donn,
What are you thinking about for driving down? Straight or one stop? I'm bringing a chase car and the wife, son, and youngest daughter.

I've done this trip several times recently, it's either a nice one-stopper or a tough 13-14, we'll either stop in jersey at my mother-in-law's or someplace south of dc (maybe both), current plan is to travel Fri. and Sat., we'd like to be there for Sunday, thoughts ?

If you're coming down I-95 and need a stop, you should have an impromptu Porsche rally at South of the Border.

Ahhhhhhh, South of the Border, the classiest tourist trap on the east coast.

Charleston is cool, I know a hotel rooftop bar we can watch the cruise ship take off from ( and the C-17's on approach )...

We'll probably be about done with I-95 at that point, we can stay over by the shore and go the last hour or so on SC17 and 170, passing through Beaufort and Bluffton...
