+1. If they got rid of the mounting brackets on the later cars, I'd be fine without the cover, but it just looks like somethings missing with those big brackets sticking out.

If you really want to clean up the look of your engine compartment...the early front engine cover & early rear engine cover combined with the rare 944 Battery cover really give the car amore modern look under the hood.

Agree even though I haven't got the battery cover on mine here is a close look of the rear one.The problem with the covers is that you got to keep them clean in order for them to look good,it's only a 15 minutes Job to clean them & apply a Vinyl/rubber conditioner on them but really think it worth it & beside like your saying it give the car a more modern look when you open the hood.

Your engine bay looks fantastic. You can order 944 battery covers cheap. IIRC, they are less then $30. Really helps finish the rear off and looks more uniform with the fuse box lid on one side and an almost matching battery lid on the other.

Just some obsservations.
Did the mod to the airbox, and KN FILTER no difference at all on the road,Llttle louder.
Got back to std airbox (had a spare)and STD snorkhel, fixed KN filter Added PERFORMANCE chip,
Then i got what seems to be 10 hp and 10 ft.lbs torque. It helps to cut off dividers inside the box, makes the flow smoother and uniform, especially at the air entry.
