In response to my first post 'What Price'

After reading some of your replies I decided to make the repairs to the car and then try to sell it.
The car supposedly needed a flex plate and valve body..... or so the Porsche Dealership told me. Hence my low asking price!!!!!

I took my car to a very well known and trusted Porsche mechanic (who I have used for 4 years) and had him take a look.
The Porsche dealership either never actually inspected the car and made something up or they need to go back to mechanics school.

It turned out that a new flex plate, rear plate and other transmission parts were all newly installed about 11 months ago just before I bought the car. I called the garage were I purchased the car and confirmed this.

The noise was being caused by a lack of grease in the transmission tube.
When the new parts were installed they forgot to grease up the tube!!!!

On 12/2/02 the whole transmission was dropped and fully serviced and inspected...... the only thing that was wrong, was the lack of grease.
The transmission has been back in the car now for a couple of days and it quite as new. So the $4000 quote from my local Porsche Dealership was a a bunch of C**P
Thank God I took my car to my own mechanic.

While the car was in the shop I told my mechanic to spare no expense and replace absolutely anything and everything he could see that needed replacing or even looked like it needing replacing.
The list of parts and service are listed below in my new revised ad.

1994 968 Coupe 87,*** miles
Black exterior

Car is 100% stock (no modifications)

Show room interior (absolutely no flaws) 10 of 10

Exterior is in excellent shape but does have a few stone chips 9.5 out of 10

10 of 10 mechanically -
12/02/02 all belts replaced, all fluids replaced, new sunroof seal, new rear wiper switch, all engine seals, Tiptronic/transmission fully serviced with all bearings and linkage replaced.

10/15/02 new alternator and battery

02/2002 New tiptronic flex plate and rear plate replaced, gear mechanism bushing replaced, rear wiper motor replaced, 4 new Goodyear eagle tires.
