968 perf upgrades revisited...
Ok I know about the dyno results on 968.net. But powerhaus claims there bolt on power package good for 36h.p. at the rear wheel, I believe them. The problem with chips is when you change intake or exhaust when the chip is made for a stock setup...it may not help, but hurt the performance.
I think powerhaus is reputable and this sounds like the best scenario for h.p. per dollar.
Let the debate be raised once more...release the hounds..!
def
73 914 2.0 still have but selling
74 914 2.0
87 944
88 944s
86 944t
968 coming soon....

Check out Bruce's test results in the Modifications section on www.968.net. You will see that there is little or no gain in peak HP by doing these mods. He has dyno results posted.

No way in H_ll the PowerHaus claims are accurate. The reality of the 968 engine is Porsche did a really good job putting this one together. There are very few places to get more HP in an inexpensive manner. Now if you want to start throwing some serious ka-ching at it, you can get, on a street-able engine, about 280-285 max.
I am very familar with a number of the hot-roded 968s (not turbo or SC conversions) across the country. I have only come across 2 that would doing a bit better than 300 hp and those were $30K+ engines that were only good for about 20 hrs.
