i have a coolant leak on my 968, i had the problem when i first got it, changed the cap to the reservoir, that stopped it for a while. then about 2 weeks later it was leaking again. my mechanic said it was the water pump and timing belt that needed to be replaced. so we replaced that and it worked for a weekend. now there is a puddle about the size of a basketball after about 2 minutes and a puddle of engine oil.
anybody have any idea what it could be this time?
any help is much appreciated.

For the oil leak, your mechanic may have missed a seal or o-ring when putting it back together, probably near the balance shaft.
As for the coolant, could be several things. Check the thermofan switch connection into the radiator (driver side near top of the radiator), you can see it from the underneath the car. It has a paper gasket that erodes over time and can leak, also may not be tight. Could also be the line that runs from reservoir tank into radiator, also connected to radiator with paper gasket. I think there is also a line near the firewall.
Remove the airbox and the black bracket that holds the radiator secure (two screws on each side) and take a look around. A leak that size should be pretty easy to see, especially if it's the things I mentioned. Other than that, you have to check all of your connects to make sure they are tight, including hose from water pump to bottom of radiator.
thanks for responding... my mechanic said that the radiator got messed up, pretty bad. so my dad just told me to get a new one. that should come in today, and it should be done by the weekend hopefully.
