You need to bring that Firehawk to one of the PCA races. F class could use another 968, especially a Firehawk version. Plenty of room in the upcoming Thunderbolt race in August.
I agree! I am sure Pete would be agreeable to it as long as I put my GTS2 car as collateral! I have wanted to do some PCA races but this year has been about work travel getting on the way of play and I have barely even done NASA stuff.
Nonetheless, seems like you guys in PCA are doing all sorts of fun stuff, like the support races, so I am going to whip out that PCA rulebook and go over it this weekend....
On the NASA forum, Scott stated that the super 7 weighed 1200lbs and was pushing 240 rwhp. If driven well, no GTS3 car would be able to touch it. I do agree that the 2:11 time it put down can be beaten by a GTS3 car.
After looking at videos, both Scott and I no know beyond reasonable doubt , that we left soooo much on the track. But being rookies at VIR is a bit to blame. In my case I was also focused on Shop JV as my main objective and did not want to push taking more risks than required being that I was just the "driver" and there are a few areas in VIR that are unforgiving albeit highly rewarding. All in all, I think we'll be able to lower those lap times next year.
Yup.... Fastest in Black Group by Sunday.... XM Radio and Air Conditioning blasting all the way! Not that the torrential rain had to do anything with it BUT; never in a million years I would have thought that I would get a fastest of weekend impromptu award after showing up in a Rental Hyundai at VIR for a PCA event... The faces at the Tech station in the morning were worth a million bucks! But I showed up with my own Lug-nut deep socket to help out!
