Clutch Slipping!!
Installed new Master & Slave cylinders about three months ago. Now, the clutch is slipping... makes for real interesting autocross times. I read somewhere that, if the turnbuckle on the Master isn't set correctly, the clutch doesn't fully disengage and results in slipping. After spending another couple hours under the dashboard of a 944 (I'm 5'10", 250#... yes, the seat came out!) I determined that that was rather improbable since the only real adjustment brings the pedal further from the switch/stop.
Is it safe to assume that the ol' clutch has worn away?

Do you mean the preload adjustment on teh clutch pedal? I have heard the same thing. Too much preload and you will burn the clutch. They always tell you to adjust the preload after a new install.
There are two adjustments, one is preload, which requires you adding or releasing pressure from the clutch spring. You must be talking about the other adjustment, which adjusts the pedal height.
The manual states what the distances should be.
