After cleaning the wheels wells I have found that the color magic wax really puts a good black on them and makes them much easier to clean next time. Maybe someone has some other ideas but this seems to work good.

Basically just as you would wax the paint. I got it good and clean by scrubing and then applied the wax with one cloth and then buffed it out with a clean cloth. What is nice about the wax is that just like on the extior paint it will repel dirt that just rinses away next time you wash. I guess I should mention that this is a Turtle Wax product and most discount parts stores should have it in stock. I will try to get some pics.
