I hate the way the parking brake handle juts in the middle in the newer cars.
I don't know, I guess I don't feel the need to hide the handbrake, and the right side position just seems more natural to me. Maybe it's that I'm conditioned by ever other car I ever have/do drive[n] to expect it on the right side, maybe it's that positioning it on the left necessitates mounting it VERY low, and I find it just a bit awkward to have to reach that far down. It doesn't bother me much, but I think I would like it better on the right.

Okay, so yes, the Germans are probably right about not drinking anything while driving...but what about when you get a drink to go, and you don't finish it before you get in the car, and want to finish it when you get to your destination instead of throwing it out? What do you do then?

First, thanks for all the posts. I enjoyed the 1200 miles from Columbus, OH to St. Louis, down through southern Missouri and northern Arkansas, Little Rock and then back to Dallas from Monday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon. The first tank was all highway and got 27mpg.

I've got some parts en route to address a few items. The sunroof clips on the front edge are broken so it does not fully seal. Its mostly waterproof but a little noisy and does not quite sit flush on the front corners. PPI missed that. By contrast, the cruise was reported not working and works fine. I checked it out and the response was right that you're fine tapping the brake but if you just put in the clutch and take it out of gear to coast down a hill the throttle is still engaged and will send it to the rev limiter when you engage the clutch in neutral.

That excatly why I install my cups holder got tired of holding a cup of coffee in between my legs or setting it down somewhere & ending up having spill coffee all over the place those are used when I'm park & relaxing or like you said bringing the rest of it home, I never drink when driving & the reason I did install them in that location is that I don't want anything that look out of place in my car.

Interesting, both the purchase and the roadtrip. I'm presently in Arlington helping my dad while he undergoes chemo. I'm from Columbus, though and know Gregg (met him at Mid-Ohio last year) and Ed Pimm (I'm EPR's credit card processing rep). I'll be back in the DFW area April 19-23 if you want to get together.

Small world I guess. Sure, if you're in the Dallas area let me know. I'd love to show you the car.
