Default Value of rear seat storage

I'm thinking of selling the rear storage cabinet and returning to rear seats in my 968. Wondering what the rear storage cabinets...in good condition... are worth if I do?

Thanks for your reply!

Everyone wants these things, I've thought about selling mine. Can't really give you a place to start on price, but I'd make sure you advertise them here as well as the 944/944T sections.

Chuck, I think I got it for around $200 including shipping from NC.
But that was a few years ago, and they don't pop up offten.

I'd start at $225 + shipping.

Also if you list it for sale, call it a "cab storage cubbies".

True. When I first read the name of the thread I thought it was going to be a story about how the rear seats in these cars were actually used to accomplish something. I was going to brag about my front seat storage method I used to get 4 17" wheels and 4 unmounted tires in my 951 coupe with full cage.

I picked up rear storage cubbies for $175 + shipping last year. Based on what i have seen for sale, asking prices over the last few years ranged from $150-$250 depending on color & condition. Rarer colors get you more money.

A bit OT but has anyone ever replaced a latch with new parts? I have a broken one on the blue car.

I put my toolbox there, wedged in behind the the part of the cage that goes behind the driver's seat. Keeps it in place very securely, but it's tilted back 30 or 40 degrees, so every time I hit a bump, or have the engine at 1800ish RPM, all my deepwells start falling to the back of their trays.

Although I'm not sure if this counts, seeing as I'm only using the space where the rear "seats" USED TO be.

I can get a set of four 17" wheels with mounted tires in, three under the hatch and one in the front seat...I'd REALLY like to know how you get the wheels and tires UNMOUNTED in, I'd love to try to replicate that!

Unless it's a secret?

I've got racing seats and it takes me 5 min to take out the front seat "assembly" with the tracks and harnesses. I had the two tires in the hatch as far forward as the cage would allow, two wheels in the back of the hatch leaning up against the two tires, another wheel upright between the two tires and the rear roll cage leg, and two tires side by side with a wheel sideways behind them where the passenger's seat was. Since then I consider my passengers seat area as optional cargo space. That was much better than when I had to mail 4 18" wheels w/tires with the 968 cab. That one took 2 trips.
