Unlike the sport seats.
So I'd say, no, it's not rare.
An option found on less that 1% of the cars is rare, whether you can retrofit it or not, not something to get wound up over however. Interestingly, I think it was standard issue on the Club Sport-what did it save, half a pound?

I thought about putting one in, but then I'd have to put the convertible top T handle somewhere else.

It is rare option (as in not many cars had it from the factory), but it is not a rare piece....as it is easily attainable (unlike sport seats).

congrats on finding a set of used old style sport seats. Now find me a set of brand new or at least near new Sport seats in light grey or dark blue. IMake sure they have porsche script cloth centers.

The diff. with the Coin Tray is....you can easily order a new one from more then one source. You don't have to search with your fgingers crossed and hope you find the perfect tray like you do with seats. I can order a tray right now, i've been looking for the right seats for 4.5 years already.

Buy these and have them reupholdstered, it's that easy. What's to stop you doing that? At $1,100 they won't last long.

I do not want reupholdstered seats. I want original seats with Porsche script cloth. Once i'm done doing everything i want done to the car, As a last resort, i will end up buying Recaro's or reupholdstering seats. Granted, i dont find the seats i want by then.

Did some determine if the original Porsche script logo material is available?

i found some 94.5-95 sport seats for you. They are chesnut brown in color and you have to purchase the 993 that comes with them but those are your seats!!!

993 sport seat options seem weird to me because most MY95's I've seen have the late model sport seats. I wonder if the early sport seats were only available in MY94 ROW and MY95 that were re-VIN's.

Jeff said less than forty 94.5-95 cars had the 993 sport seats, that's out of all the cabs and coupes sold during that time.

I actually wasn't clear with what I meant in my last post because I edited without proof reading. I'm referring to sport seats in 993's. When I see MY95's for sale they always seem to have have the late sport seats.
