Some day I'd like to convert my comfort seats to sport seats and am interested if anyone has already done it. I doubt I'll ever find my correct partial cloth/leather sport seats in my lifetime. I bet they would look good. Club Sport Recaros would be nice too...

The center sections can be reused during the sport seat conversion.

These are one of one on the North American coupes. Notice how the full seat top is cloth, not just the inserts.

Default seats

wow, I didn't realize how rare they were. I just sold my 93 6speed with LSD and perfect black leather sport seats.

I knew I should never have sold it

The question was about the later 993 style sport seats, those are pretty rare (less then 40 total, coupes and cabs). As for the earlier 92-94.5 968 sport seats, they are also rare but not quite as much. There were 59 cabs produced with them and I'm going to say around 100 coupes (I'm not done with the coupe registry yet). It turns out that my cab is the only full leather interior cab (they only made 30 out of 2,008) with sport seats as well.

Those are my fav 968 seats that i've seen in person thus far. I would take these over the CS Recaro's.

Note the very rare coin tray rather than cassette hinge center tray.

I'm the PCA 968 register historian and a 968 owner for 14 years. I have been collecting data for all that time. I have a complete collection of North American 968 cab data and I'm working on the coupes now (should be done by summer). Let me know if you have any other questions.

Of the 2,234 North American coupes, only 16 have the coin tray feature. All 95 coupes.

Having sat in the car, they are incredibly comfortable as well.

One can get "the very rare coin tray" from paragon for $44.95.

Dino, I'd have to agree with you there. Those are probably the rarest late model seat.

personally i'd rather have the cassette holder instead of the coin tray. It looks better imho & i can actually store things (without them flying out) in there during spirited driving.

Just saying one could just go out and buy it today, and have it next week.
Unlike the sport seats.
So I'd say, no, it's not rare.
