Default Hood struts

The coupe needs some new gas struts to hold the hood open. Should I go OEM on repleacements or is there a better option?
Thanks

I remember the last time I replace mine on the 944 I got the heavy duty one from "Vertex" never did regret it that was the last time I had to replace hood shocks & there are still going strong even in very cold weather they would stay up no problem I beleive they are similar to the one use on the 911 engine lide with whale tail. Maybe give them a buzz & see if they got some for the 968.All the one prior to those either OE or replacement will only last a short while, those has a three years waranty on them.

I went with OEM on both our 951 and 968. Haven't had a problem with either, and the 951's struts have been on for 3+ years.
