i think it looks damn good! gives the whole front end a longer, more exotic look!

I like that alot. Excellent work. If you ever decide to make a mold and produce some of those, I'm in.

Forget the 968 Turbo S, that's the shiznit right there. It will do the LS intake some justice when you open the hood.

I had my doubts - but that looks great. Can't wait to see higher quality pictures.

the money isn't much of problem. however, the body work is another matter. make the wrong cuts and you'll be buying another bumper cover. better to let me do the cutting... as far as the money goes, the proper resins you'll need cost significantly more than a slightly damaged 997 bumper cover. there isn't exactly a heap of 997 pieces on ebay with just the right amount of damage, but this one was a great candidate (as with my piece, you'd be cutting away and discarding the part that was damaged).

the reason why these bc's become available in the first place works in our favor, such that the people who do even least amount of damage to their bc's simply have them replaced. no reason to have repaired plastic on a 70~150 thousand dollar car, as it reduces the resale value considerably. better to just replace it at a decent body shop quietly to avoid any carfax issue.... OUR GAIN. so, with that thinking in mind the only bumper covers that sell at all, are the ones in pristine condition, in the correct color desired stipped off cars that were totalled from rear or side impacts. the rest of them can be had for cheap money..... with the bumper in the above link, the seller may have pulled it due to lack of interest. i sent him a pm and asked him to relist it, as it could have found a nice home on one of our cars. offer like 100~150 bucks for a similar one.

I actually like it a lot. Nice job!

As for the turbo S comment... even though this bumper adds 120 hp, the turbo S still has more torque.

I was referring to the front end look, but after his engine install, we'll see some REAL torque #'s

I'm not going to let this thread fall too far down the line- we need to keep this idea of a new front bumper alive!!!

finally the heat has taken a bit of an intermission, and i can get back to working on the car.

chop, i tried to get an answer from Tim about your differential question, but he's never opened the box. but, Raj might know...... btw, the girl in my avatar is Jaime Hammer. back in 2003, she was a student at Arizona State University and came to spring break in Mazatlan, Mexico and enrolled in my surf classes.

she wore a different multi colored bathing suit (mostly the same striped pattern you see in my avatar) each day. on the day she wore her green and aquamarine (tropical floral) suit, i borrowed her for a photo session with the surfboards and a couple of her buddies (God bless you Jaime).

as related by Jaime, for several years, she later became the top search hit on Google for 'perfect breasts....' she's 4' 11" and back in 2003, her breasts didn't falter at all when she got topless (first hand knowledge) which unfortunately wasn't exactly the case after she became a Twisty's girl, Playboy model etc.... out of high school she was 32DD-22-33 all natural freak of nature, but she lost a good measure of the 'shock factor' in the last few years. she was 19 in the photo below taken in front of the seawall of the Riviera Lara, on playa Camaron Sabalo, Mazatlan.

I would like to get a confirmation on the axle dims for the 968. Specifically are the CV's 86mm PCD, 33 spline? Also are the axle shafts the exact lengths on each side and what are their exact lengths end-to-end? The Chromoly spools and saves the trans. I will eventually build a set when I confirm the dims.

As much as I love the 997.2 GT3 RS...I really, REALLY think it's not going to go well with a 968! The 968 TRS wing is just so perfect, why would you need anything more?

Speaking of which, when is D9 going to release their airbrake version??? I'm desperate to get it on my car.
