Default Rear Bumper Cover Removal

I have searched here and on that other forum (there is one there but it is not that easy to follow). Does any one have a good DIY for this? I am going to replace the trim on the rear cover this weekend and would prefer to know what I'm looking at before just removing crap. I am sure I could figure it out but this would save me a lot of time. Thanks in advance! Also if anyone has one for replacing the transmission mount that would be great!

Aaron, In a nutshell, you have two 8mm screws on the bottom wheel wells on the sides.
Four 10mm nuts on the inside of the rear shell and you need to remove both rear lights to access the hidden screw.
You also need to remove the bumperettes using hex sockets.
Since you will just be replacing seal, you don't need to disconnect lock mechanism electric connections or license plate light connects.
Good luck. I will PM you my contact in case you run into any issues.

Got it done this weekend. No 10mm bolts just 5 per side that were 8mm. Oh well by pointing me in the right direction I was able to do it no problem. Thanks Raj!

I thought they were 8mm but decided to guess them to be 10mm. Thanks for the correction.
Regards.

No worries! You can't really go wrong guessing either 10 or 13mm as that would seem to fit 80% of the car

Default 968 Rear bumper cover removal

Hey guys, does anyone have any pics of this? Does the car have to be jacked up / lifted to access any of these screws? I need to remove the bumper to replace the aging seals but can't seem to find any reference to where exactly they are. Any help would be appreciated.

hi can you remember how you got the seal to stay in place?
ive loosened the bumper but can’t pinch the seal enough to keep it securely in place. Did you use any adhesive or mastic?
