Torque tube /trans input shaft bent

Hello all -At R/A my imput shaft sheared and it looks like the imput shaft to the transmission is bent along with cracked case connected to torque tube -My question is -should i get a new trans or fix it -I do not know if it has better ring and pinion than stock or if the gears are special - Imput shafts new at 1600.00
at porsche dealer -I have a back up of a new 968 housing -what a bite in the #* -fix it or start over -thanks for any and all input

LSD 6-speeds are hard to find, and expensive. Your best bet is to get a regular 6-speed (or maybe a 5?) and buy an aftermarket LSD for it. Like Quaife or whatever.
Did you call Sunset Imports for the input shaft? They have the best prices.
Also try calling wrecking yards like Parts Heaven in Hayward, CA, they might have a tranny or MAYBE they'll sell you just a shaft? Worth a shot...

As far as installing an LSD, I had a shop do it. New units run for over $2k. If you drop the transmission yourself, the cost to install LSD is around 2-3 hrs max.
