Default Replacement cab top

Well, fourteen years have taken their toll on my top-although I almost never drive the car with the top up, the rear window isn't perfect, and the top is due. I was given the name of a guy who did a great retop of a 944S2 owned by a friend.

I went to the shop and visited today, and I was quite impressed. How much have the rest of you paid for a new convertible top?

I believe mine was somewhere around 800-1000 installed sometime in the last two years.

He's reusing the headliner, original German top, OEM quality, it'll be no more than $1,250 and maybe less. The S2 cab he did is owned by the owner of www.carcareonline.com so I'd imagine if it was good enough for him it'll be good enough for me.

On my red cab I was able to replace just the rear window for !!! are you ready ???? $250. But I did every thing minus sewining in the window. I have a complete top assy from my black parts cab in great shape with some window fogging. Maybe we could work something out- I'll replace the rear window in it so it is new and trade you top assys....with some $ of course... thoughts? Remember the rear section can be removed without taking anything else off the car except the side trim. I have dissassembled 2 tops on 2 differnt cabs with sucess and seen a not so factory job done on a S2 for the same $1200.

If you need dwgs I have them.- Cheers, Mike

cheers, Mike
