968's with 965.362.128.05?
I searched, but didn't really find the answer I was looking for. I guess there are a couple of ways to determine the size needed. 1) Do the math 2) Position the wheel and measure 3) Ask the people who's wheels look good! Here's the deal.
I put a set of Cup 2's on the car last night that I bought for the 951. They sizes are
965.362.126.00 et55(?)
965.362.128.05 et68
The fronts look fantastic and are exactly how I want them to look. The very outside of the tire lines up with the top of wheel well. The rears look more sucked in than the original 968 wheels! Rough guestimate I'd say is a 1-1/2 spacer to get them to match the look of the fronts. My question is, is there a way to figure the spacer size, or is it a matter of t&e?
Erny9486's car has the look I'm shooting for. I would think someone has these wheels on their 968, and have nailed the look, so what size spacers did you use?

The ET should be located at the valve stem - are you sure they're OEM Cup 2? The 965 part numbers would be for the 965 turbo which are the cup 1 style in 7 and 8 inch widths, which could explain why the rears are not where you want them to be...the higher the offset, the more sucked in they'll be, and if they're an inch narrower than 968 wheels (8 vs. 9), they will definitely look different. Knowing the width and offset both will help determine the size spacer you'll need.

FWIW, there are OEM Porsche spacers. I used a 21mm one in order to get a pair of 9.5" Cup 1's with 68mm offset on my 964 Euro Cup car (47mm rear offset).
It was not a problem with longer wheel studs, just a drilled spacer.
I also would have thought a 965 P/N was a Cup 1, not a Cup 2.
Could you possibly post a pic?

I was told they were Cup 2's, but I don't know the difference. These are the "flatter" type spokes, not the "rounder" in the middle of the spoke kind. I guess they're not OEM(no #'s at the stem. 8" fronts, 9.5 rears. I'll work on a pic..

Congratulations.
If I decode the number 965.362.128.05 et68 properly, you are the proud owner of a VERY highly sought after OEM Cup 1 rear wheel.
That should be a 9.5" Cup 1 rear, which was standard fitment on 964 Cup cars (on 17" wheels...18" Speedlines were run on the Cups in the later seasons)
Anyone with a 964 Cup who has searched for those wheels has paid a fair price for them...FWIW, I paid $1500 for my rear set.
On the 964 Cups, a 944/951 OEM rear wheel spacer (21mm), P/N 477.501.701 was often fitted in order to provide the finished offset of 47mm.
The spacers can be purchased from a dismantler (for around $25 each) or probably sourced from Jeff Clark at Sunset Imports.

I just bought the wheels the day before I bought the car. I had planned on putting them on the 951, but I think they'll stay on the 968. I'll put the 968 wheels on the 951, and I'll then be able to use the 16" tires I just bought for it. I will need to replace 1 of the rims from the 968 since its bent and someone drove on a flat. Cool about the value since I got a set(8's up front, 9.5's in back) with tires for a lot less than $1500.
