Default 968 injectors needed?

Hey,
I know there are lots of different injectors out there for 944's but what about the 968 - are there any replacement units available or is the OEM Bosch #0 280 155 010 the only option??

The specs for the injectors are
15,2ohm, 296cc/min, 28lb/hr

Of course then comes the size etc, but I would be amazed if other Motronic 2.10.x based systems would have different physical sizes for injectors ; at least the injector sealing kit as well as the clamps for fuel rail are exactly the same.

My S3 suffers from bad response when doing fast acceleration and fuel pressure is 3,6-3,8 bar so it cannot be that. Also we've isolated the vacuum leaks by spraying the lines and no result. I guess it's down to the injectors and/or intake manifold as other stuff (wires, sparks, rotor, DME sensors, ref.sensor) are changed.

edit:yes, checked the 'search' already ; will go for the cleaning & new o-rings procedure first

Yes, there are bigger injectors available. Not sure that is your problem though.

I have not had the best of luck with Marren lately. I had two sets where either an injector did not fire right away or either failed there after. I will be trying different vendors in the future.

Ok, a little bit hasty moves here but...

So, my S3 acts weird, when cold she runs good but as she warms up she starts to hesitate when acclerating etc, idle dwells

- no obivious vacuum leaks (all lines checked)
- DME temp sensor changed
- fuel pressure 3.6-3.8bar
- sparks and wires new
- new lambda (improved but not fixed)

So it's either worn out ref.sensor or leaking/bad injector

Have you checked the fuel pressure on a warm engine? Is it still the same?

Yes, the fuel pressure is the same.. Well, I concentrate on other stuff in the meantime as my injectors are being maintenanced. We'll see next weekend how things go

I've had several sets of injectors done a whitchdoctor over the years, all with great results.
