Default Brake pads

I am due to change the pads on my MO30 Club Sport and wondered what people are running?
The car is 95% track use with only the occasional road use, so not worried about squealing, dust or getting to temperature.
I have braided hoses and am using AP racing fluid.
I keep looking at the Pagid yellow but at circa £400 for front and rear I could do with something a little easier on my wallet

Hawk...I was using PFC's, and found them to be a bit too aggressive on the rotors.

I'm using the hawk DTC60's this year and they seem to work really well.

Richard, are you running the 5/33 valve? Just curious as to why the different compounds f/r? I used to run a split setup with my old brakes but with the 968 brakes and the valve braking is great; the rears do not lock up prematurely.

Tim,

Got the valve but the 01 rears were still too grabby, so I went back to the 01/97 combo and no rear lock-up.

Maybe I should remove and clean or replace that valve?

Richard:

How is rotor life? I was almost 1:1; pfc01 front to new front rotor! I went back to 097 fronts and it improved. I am now using some carbotech and am still evaluating.

The DSC60's are easier on rotors than Ht10 and blues. I've got three weekends (including a 3hr and a 1.5 hr enduro) and the rotors look like new and I have only used 1/4 of the front pad.

Who knows, it could be a difference in weight distribution, spring rates, tires choices, etc, etc, etc.

I used HT10's last year and they were a huge improvement over blues. However, the DTC60's are even better, imo.

Mike,

Last year my front rotors lasted nearly the entire season.
