"Wasn't there a whole thread about someone who had the RSB unit that cracked-the owner had business in Philadelphia, flew in with the broken part, and brought it to RSB for repair??"

Yeah, that was me... Worked out perfectly. Got to meet Pete and got the muffler replaced for free. I really appreciated that too. Stands behind his product, that is all you can ask for!

It actually likes a little back pressure.

Because of the resonant induction manifold, a reduction in back pressure can affect the pulse timing and gas velocity of the system.
Porsche did a very good job with tuning the system.
A reduction in back pressure will actually show a loss of power and cause dips in the power curve.
Then how do you explain increased torque with a 3" catback and no resonator?
I agree a little back-pressure is probably good for the intake but the stock system produces a lot of back-pressure.

+2 on the need for back pressure with the 968's

I believe it's a borla on mine as well although it's custom and I can't confirm exactly what it has. I also have a little exhaust restriction....and find it definately likes it.

Here is how it sounds:

Not sure how much help it will be though.

Dyno charts? I have seen this tried with huge losses in the midrange and minimal gains up top. Not worth the loss in the middle. Which muffler did you use? If it has more backpressure than a free flowing muffler and a resonator then you are still in the same place you would have been if you stuck with a 2.5 system with a resonator.

With the price tag on the Cargraphic system you could almost build a turbo 968

Definitely not by you guys, even though you guys claim so on your website.
How many conversions have you guys done to this day? Please provide references to confirm if you have.
Thanks.

Why don't you ask your buddy that, since he is the one that brought it up?
So, it was proven that even though you claimed in your statement below:

Have not really heard anything bad about the RSB unit.
RSB exhausts do have issues with them, be it muffler or the headers as we saw in another thread. So think twice before you throw mud on other vendor's products.

Did you build yours?

PorscheDude's quote, which you quote, does not throw mud on B&B- merely states that B&B might crack, and as others have noted, it can and does.

Show me anywhere that I have claimed that I built mine. I did btw actually assist George Vassos in building his. Do you see me with a website claiming that I offer turbo conversion? I didn't make any statements about turbo conversions, your buddy did.
RSB cracks just like B&B does.

Macadamia,
You may best to try and build your own.

Didn't say you did build yours, merely asked if you did. Perhaps people, who are new to these boards, might mistakenly assume things from your comments.

I just find it funny that people's comments are turned into statements of mudslinging when such is not the case. Furthermore, I find it funny for someone to question the suitability of a vendor's merits or lack thereof when they themselves "bought into the club".

Take it for what it's worth. Those in the know, well, know....
