I din't had the time to post any more updates lately , I had to solve some engine managment isues and changed the Emerald ecu to a DTA unit.also changed the wasted spark single coil to a coil near plug system from the LS2 engine. The Synapse WG was swapped for a TIAL 44 ( V-Band Clamp)the car was fine tuned on the dyno yesterday and the final run got us 345hp/540Nm, This weekend the car will be tested at the track(Zolder) .

968 Turbo RS model
check out the below photos of my recently completed 1:43 Starter resin model of the first Turbo RS made.
purchased the rare Starter kit on Ebay and found a fellow in Texas who is an expert on building 1:43 models.
Came out great and now hoping to have a 1:24 scale of the same model built.

Good and bad news
First the good news : this weekend a reporter visited me at the track(Zolder) and he will write a review on my build project for the december issue of "Porsche Scene live"
The bad news is that in the test drive that a made with him someone hit my car on the front right wheel taking out the steering rod and rack meaning the end of the fun(good thing that i took the 951 too so the weekend wasn't a complete disaster)
More bad news is the fact that the issues with the engine are still present.initialy the engine runs fine but as it gets warmer it starts hesitating with what apears to be misfires.the read out of the ecu doesn't show any weard things .I was wondering if insufisiant valve lash could be the cause of this problem???? any help is welcome.

hope you found out the engine problems.
I checked your pics and there seemed to be undertay missing behind splitter, and below IC. might be stupid point, but if there was undertray you might get more downforce and less disturbance in flow to IC. might of course be that your car was not complete when the pics were shot.
btw, where did you source the CroMo rollcage, and how much did it cost? custom cages @ UK make cages for 968 aswell but they didn't have T45 listed, only CDS.

those pics where taken before the undertray plate was mounted ,the CrMo cage was made by wiegers in germany ,price was about 1000Euro's .I will start the build of a second 968 (the RSR project) for this one I will weld the cage myself I have found a suplier for CrMo tubes in Holland.
The engine troubels are not resolved yet ,I'm waiting for a new turbo from Lindsey Racing .Mike thinks that my problem could be caused by too much back pressure.while i'm in there I'm also installing a new stage V 2.7l head (o ringed) , a LR intake manifold and the pauter conrods I got frome A guy here on rennlist. That will keep me bussy over the winter

Wiechers do FIA -classifiedr CroMo Cages for p968? that's good news.
If I have understood right CroMo cage needs to be classified before you can race with it, which makes it difficult to make one by oneself. Your country might have different rulebook.
Sounds like a nice project with two race 968's, especially when starting from the scratch with bare shell..
