AJ,

How did you come up with the shape for the buckets? Were you able to use the stock buckets as a template of sorts, or was it a completely custom fabrication effort? Thanks.

It was a complete custom fabrication effort. Just kinda had an idea in my head, made the templates out of card paper to easily trim as needed, when I was happy I then transferred that to the aluminum.

Yeah, that's what it looks like when the #2 rod bearing goes and the rod goes thru the block. If you look close you can see the reflection of flames on the underside of the rear wing. Found the piston wrist pin sitting on the engine cross member! It wasn't me driving at the time, but it went quick.

I'm back at Portland right now for the first race of the season. Hopefully there will be something good to upload from the weekend.

Here is a fresh video from Portland with a better ending.

I screwed up the start with a 2nd to 5th upshift but ended up passing 3 cars in class for the win.

Quick question - what's the recommended thickness of the lexan covers? Thanks.

I just used 1/8" lexan flat stock. Holds up to everything, except concrete walls.

Thanks; Also, is that a fiberglass hood on your car? The fit looks quite respectable. What brand is it?
