all valid points gents... i just found the concept very interesting and was wondering if anybody knew more info or links about it. what some people go through to make their dreamcars a reality, can be inspiring or a cautionary tale!

That transplant wasn't in a 968, it was done either in a 951 or S2 race car,pic of a a 16V twin turbo.

in Massachusetts, used Boxsters are reasonably priced.

a couple of years ago, i approached Jerry Pelegrino (European Performance, Natick Mass who's serviced about 28,000 911s, Boxsters and Caymans over the past 30 years/and if you're ever in the area, be sure to visit his enormous repair shop).... asked him about getting a Boxstah and dropping in one of those nice TPC turbo kits. or maybe waiting a couple of years and going really massive by doing a Carrera GT Junior via the newest Cayman S.... he turned around and looked at me for a moment in discust and with a thud, sternly replied, "NO...."

the Boxter turbo ideaaeer died there.

compared to a 996/997 Turbo motor, these are very challenged water-cooled engines.
