Default Good street Alignment Specs?

Hi all,

Still doing a few autocrosses here and there, but the 968 is seeing much more street duty lately and I don't want to trash the insides of my tires with the -2.2 degrees front -1.2 rear camber I have now.

What is a good baseline? I'm having trouble locating the factory settings.

Thanks.

AutoEurope in Birmingham has one of the newest Hunter laser racks. The machine knows what to set it to...
The guy that does the allignments knows his stuff with 944/968 as well.

I don't think you are that far away. IIRC the front can be as much as -1.6 (stock).

If you get adjustable camber plates then you can change the camber to a track or a street setting.

Yes as 968workaholic points out ... Adjustable camber plate would be your best friend.

For street I run -1.5 front and -0.8 rear which gives me good tyre longevity (approx 10k miles a set)

I don't know that I'll be able to spring $ for the plates this year but it's nice to know that I can get longevity and still keep at least -1.0 negative.

Thanks again.

Hi Mac

I suggest that you give the guys a call at RS Barn whom I'm sure 'state side' can do you a great deal on a set of camber plates mate which will over time save you money on tyres and offer you a great compromise

I'd love to offer our set but as RS Barn are close to you and have some simply fantastic products and know the 968 like the back of there hands then shoot them a message as I'm all for helping out a fellow company if it's going to save the end user time and money.

Let us all know how you proceed - I'm not affiliated with them but buck for buck / pound for pound this is the most sensible option for you.

The racers edge camber plates are also fantastic - your money mate, so your choice!

Best regards,
Mark
