Jeff --- waiting for an options list but read what the seller said below:

I am sure that they were linen as these are from my old car. Unfortunately I can not take a picture of the option tag as I no longer own the car. I currently have a grey interior 968 though and these are way lighter than my current interior. I can check out later tonight if there is any documentation I have, I have to catch up on some wheels for sale too.

Michelle,
I've been running the regsitry for 8+ years. The cab you pointed out above was found by another rennlister a few weeks back and confirmed to be the first known cassis red car. then this second one came along just a few weeks later. This is a very rare color. It was offered only in 1992 and you had to pay $1600 extra to get it. the standard metallics cost $800 extra. i like this second car a lot better.

Jeff,
I know that you know what you're talking about, being our resident expert on 968 option combinations. Even if they really are linen, with that stitch pattern there's nothing to say that a previous owner might have moved them from a 944 into the 968. Curiosity has me though and I'd like to see the options list anyway.

Rick, agreed, they could have been moved from a 944. Although the interior's of a 944 have many differences from a 968 I believe the seat stitch pattern is the same and they kept that in the 968 until 94.5 when they switched to the 993 style. Although you could get light grey seats paired with 4 different dash colors the most popular are black and light grey (code TS with partial leather seats) and classic grey and light grey (code TU with partial leather seats, like my cab i posted the photo link of). You could also find them paired with the cobalt blue and the magenta. If they are full leather or parital leather with leatherette then there are different codes. I have collected many of them but I don't have them all, yet!
