Non metallic greens like signal and mint green were very likely only available to 968 and 928 as normal color chart option simply because they were painted at same line as 911. When 924 and 944 was made in Neckarsulm plant I think during only first few years of 924 production such colors were available. In later years they were almost totally absent since available color map for Neckarsulm products were close to Audi colors at same time.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...that Oak Green Metallic on your Pcar is one of the best greens ever made. I'd love to have a 968 in that color.

I remember back in 1995 I was driving my 951 and lusting after a 968. One of the local dealers here in Wallingford had 5 brand new 968 coupes that he put on a super sale of $33K each. They all had stickers of at least $42K. There was a wimbleton car, three red, and one oak green. The oak green was the last one left. I went and test drove it and still have a photo of it (with my kids next to it). He went to $32K but I couldn't do it. He finally sold it. It is a great color. We had a oak green cab at hershey last year. Hopefully he comes again.

Since it was listed in color brochure in '92 and '93 MY's at both ROW and US markets they should be fairly easy to find in ROW markets at least. This doesn't appear to be the case. Its likely it was little too wild selection for people who bought 968's new. It seems first owners of 928's were little more adventurous in their selections. There are several other similarly very rare in 968 and ever so slightly more common in 928 colors in period color maps like Amethyst and Tahoe Blue.

We have a color to sample Ocean Jade Metallic 2003 targa, since it was 2003, color to sample, like already mentioned it was standard for two years, it looks great on the new Boxster... Ours has a one of a kind Nephrite green on full carbon interior, sticker was well over 100g's.. for my wife, your welcome Honey.

That's an eye-popping picture, thanks...
You can see the almost perfect fit of the 993 clear turn signal lenses, but I'd still like to try a set on the GP White car...
Best, Donn

BTW, that signal green 968 in the first post is wonderful! What a color! And the 968 wears it very well.
