Konis would probably be cheaper, not sure about better. Kw ,Leda, Moton, etc would be more expensive.

Not sure if Ledas are available anymore. Motons are in a different league price and adjustability wise.

Do you have to remove the torsion bars once coil-overs are installed?

In the rears, not really. You can run them in conjunction or as standalones. The torsion bars give you some added spring rate but limitations in adjustability.

The front 951 turbo S spindles are still available and new they are $1,300 a piece from Sunset! You then need hubs, calipers, bearings, dust caps, etc...... The rear shocks have permanent hats and the barrel shaped springs that go on them come in a set but its about $600 for the rear factory coilover setup! Somewhere around 80lbs I belive!

Stew, you can run aftermarket coilovers with the torsion bars installed. But, if you run a spring that is more than 80 lbs, you will need to reindex them in the housing.
