968 on Autotrader - whats it really worth?

Just curious really...looks very nice, but 30k? Ive seen it mentioned in other threads but didnt want to take any off-topic.
I emailed the guy and asked if he was flexible at all and pretty much got the feeling he isnt. Said its concours and is priced on the money for its condition.
I dont really follow the 968 market but was just looking around and was wondering what you think this could actually sell for. Why is it a 1994 and have the early style seats - was this a mid-94 change?
Whats a low mileage (50k or less) LSD, M030 equipped 968 normally sell for?
Thanks!

I don't really follow the 968 market closely, but considering the mileage and that it has all the desirable goodies I think he can ask whatever he wants. Its not like you can just go find another one like it for less down the road. I would love to have that car in my car garage.

In today's market that seems 5K high-even though it's a true lsd/mo30 with relatively low miles it would need to be under 20K miles to justify that price, and maybe be a more desirable color. And I'd rather it have Cup 2's in stock 17" sizes.

These cars were changing hands 5 yrs back for $22k with approx 22k miles. The example I bring up is a car that was pristine and part of a guys collection. I can't imagine them going up that much in price.
Blk is not uncommon so it can't command a $3k premium that other rare colors can.
I think the car is priced atleast $7k above what its worth. This is taking the mods into accnt.

I don't think the color takes away from this car at all though. Sure its not a rare color but at the same time its not a bad color either, lots of people like black so I think its very a neutral case as far as the price.

I think unusual colors can also go the other way. I would pass on a yellow, any shade of blue or green (other than signal green) Red is the worst: or would offer significantly less as they are not to my taste. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
We are not talking 100k asking prices. These are sub 20K cars and not highly sought after by collectors.
For me I would pay a premium for a black car. But in my eyes if it aint black or silver, I dont want it.

Im actually not sold on the wheels or the interior - I understand its rare and all, but Id prefer black or grey leather. The ballpark # I had in my head for that car was 22-24k so that helps confirm that..
Thanks for your help.
