What's your cabrio suspension set up?

Luis, this was Steve's old setup:
968 M030 front and rear sway bars
968 M030 front struts with 200 lbs hypercoils (he moved this off his coupe that he sold)
951 M030 rear shocks or Koni sports shocks as some people know them as
18 inch 2002 lightweights.
Needless to say, it was a stiff ride. Recently he tried a set of factory 968 17 inch Cup 2 wheels. That pretty much got the ball rolling. He preferred the 17 inch ride quality along with the looks. Next came the struts and as they say, the rest is history. He is going back to stock struts to try them with H&R's springs since he ran this setup on his old cabriolet. If that doesn't cut it, we will go with Koni inserts for front and koni sports for rear. His current rear shocks are stock.
This is what I have:
968 M030 front and rear sway bars
944 S2 M474 struts with CS Springs (perfect match with stock ride quality but a lower stance)
944 S2 M474 rear shocks
2002 Carrera lightweight wheels
I still need to dial it in a bit but in general the ride is very nice. It has stiffen up quite a bit from the 18's so I might go to a set of 17's eventually. Steve is the one who owned the M474 setup but was generous enough to pass it on to me. I can't thank him enough for it.
Also, Thom was very gracious to share the CS Spring and M474 suspension setup with us and I have followed his lead.
If the CS springs are not stiff enough with 17's, I might go to H&R's. I am waiting for Steve to give it a try and see how it feels.
We will keep you posted.

Thanks Raj, I take it these are the factory specified 944 cab shocks I got from the dealer for my S2 a few years ago?
What's a good source for H&R springs and which weight did you use? Any spring-centering issues after you jack the front of the car up? Thanks again.

I'm also running the 944S2 M474's with HR's in the front, no issues with centering, and they only come in 1 variety. I bought mine from Performance Products. I have M030 sways and Koni Sports in the rear. Joel, the rear shocks won't have an effect on ride hight unless they have helper springs ala 968 M030. I'm running 8 and 10 x 18 911 Carrera III wheels with BF Goodrich Sports.

Joel,
Nope, no helper springs - the M030 option on 968's had them, the 951 M030 is just the standard koni sport shock, no springs in the rear at all, just the torsion bars. I've lowered my rear via the eccentrics on the spring plates, and the front ride hight is from the HR springs, which I highly recommend.

Due to the nature of torsion bars, most cars end up with different height when bottomed out on eccentrics. The bars do allow adjustment but I have seen cars with bottomed out torsion bars still sit too high compared to others.
Steve's car has a great stance. The darker wheels also help give that lower appearance. Since the tires are dark, so are the wheels and wheel well, its hard to depict where the tires end and the wheel well starts.
If you compare your avatar to Steve's, you will see better lighting in your picture. Your cars could be sitting at same height but the visual effect is different. Add to that the difference between 17 inch wheels and 18's.
Just to give you an example, I took one of Steve's pictures of my car in the same angle as you your avatar and made that my avatar. I gotta drop the license plate!!
Regards.
