Default Pulling the injectors.

Since I am not heading to Daytona this weekend thought I would pull the injectors and send them off for testing. My question for you guys is there anything special/unique or out of the ordinary that I should know about before the start of this project ?

Cheers,
Joel

Not really. It's pretty straight forward.

Depressurize the fuel rail before you start.

Joel, not at all. You will need to remove the "Porsche" vanity plate. Also, I have found over the yrs that its much safer to disconnect the injector rail from the fuel hose that is right by the fender opening. Often times, you can twist/bend the fuel hose connections if you try to disconnect it on the rail ends.
The rail is held together by a few 10mm bolts. You will need to disconnect the vacuum line that goes to the fpr as well.
Pull the distributor cap with all 4 wires and take it out as 1 piece.
The harness clips into the injectors. Same goes for the injectors themselves, they are clips on each one of them.
Its a very easy job. You can burn all the fuel by running the car after removing the dme relay. This way it will start with the fuel that is left into the system and once that dries, teh car will stop running. Less fuel spillage this way.

Thanks Raj. The will be my Sunday project, after a drive. I have not had a chance to see if there is any noticeable change after the air box mod.

Cheers,
Joel
