Shabba:

I almost bought a 1993 Guards Red Coupe with 93k miles on it from a dealer in Richmond before I ended up with my car. I wonder if it stayed in the area.

The funny thing is, there is an 87 S one street over from me and I think between him and I, we own 50% of the total 944 population here in the west end of Richmond.

I don't see many, in fact trying to remember the last one I saw on the street that was not at a Porsche event. If I go in the garage at least I can see 2 any time I want.

I have probably seen 5-6 different cars around town. I was in the Scottsdale post office one day and an older guy comes in and there must have been 15 people in line and yells out whos 968 out there I tell its mine and then he just goes off about how he bought his new in 92 or 93 and it is a slate gray cab. and that my car is only the 11th 968 hes has een since owning his and that it is the only other slate gray 968 he's ever seen. There are probably 6-7 968s in the local bone yard with a new one showing up about once every six months. I noticed this morning that famous red S2 coupe with the 968 motor and the mismatched wheel for sale on Phoenix craigslist.

On a side note I will be selling one of my cars if anyone is interested I have 91 S2 Cabriolet with 87,xxx miles in very nice condition with good service history dating back to original owner and the other one is my 92 968 Coupe with 85,xxx miles and complete service history since new RS barn cat back/Airbox Mod/Rs Barn Chip. PM me if interested.

Usually none, at the track 4-5. There are at least 2 others in my area but I never see them on the road, only at very ocassional PCA region event.

Well, that would make one more in the area!

The one I see at euroclassics is a light color...I never have really looked at it and I haven't been by there is a while. The only other one I have seen is the red cab...

Oh yeah, this makes post 200...4 years on the forum and I am averaging 50 per year...

ZERO!

I have a friend that works in the MT DMV. She looked one time and found only one other 968 registared in the entire state (Billings). I've never seen another in Montana.

Anyone who has a mother who owned a 968 has a cool mother!

My mother drove a Buick.

Good Heavens! And Montana has some wonderful 968-driving roads.

I wonder what it's like for other states?

I live on the East side of the Lake in Seattle area. Real Micrsoft/ & now Google territory in Redmond/Kirkland. There are a dozen 968's in the area & at least half are Cabs. Winter you see less but in summer it is more common. Just yesterday I saw a new light purple color Cab just off 405. Had not see that car before but 2 white, 1 Dark Blue, 1 silver, a grey & a green (& my Cobalt Blue Cab) all live near here. Only 3 in the local club. But all in all that is very few with Boxsters on every street corner & used car lot. I still get that "is that the new Porsche?" question at times.

It must kill your tip income when people see what you deliver in. I can't believe you use you 968 to deliver.
