Default need detailed pics of 968 squirters?

Hi Folks, my S2 block is in for boring/honing/decking and at the same time installing a set of 968 pistons squirters.

I have searched the lists for pics, but only come up with a few basic shots, what I need is some detailed shots showing enough for the machinist to drill/install these for me.

Has anyone a bare 968 block that could snap off a series of shots, from top and bottom for each cylinder & maybe work with me on some measurements please?

thanks
mike

I wish I could help but I won't have the motor apart for another few months! Sorry and good luck!

Have you already bought them? I have a damaged one from a 968 that I could send you for your machinist. I found them online...let me go look and I think I can find the machining instructions online....

If you buy them from them then the machining instructions come with it if installing in 944 block

Is the guy finished welding it?

Mike, what pistons are you going to use? I know you were looking for 968 pistons - are yours shot? I have a line on a good set of used S2 pistons if you need them.

Arash I am getting aftermarket forged pistons in 8:1, along with forged rods, am planning to run 18psi, both my pistons & bores are certainly stuffed.

I did consider using stock pistons again but after my last experience I will stick to forged and lower compression, they will allow me to handle the extra heat/expansion under boost.

thank you anyway for your offer.

That motor is going to dump out some serious power!!

I'm just curious - where did you get 3.0l turbo pistons for alusil... i.e. what brand and what source, if you don't mind my asking. LR?

Arash, I have just confirmed with the machine shop that the bores cleaned up with a 104.5mm hone, so I have choice getting pistons from Bret, Dave or Mahle from HMR, or LR.

Still not sure whether to go aftermarket Pauter/Wossners or 951 forged rods.

That's good news on the block Mike. I've think I've got a picture of the squirters in place but that won't help a whole lot. I'm trying to remember who sent them to me?? One of the Swedes I think. I'll see if I can find them.

Mike here's the only pic I could find. This is in a 2.5ltr block though. Shouldn't be too much difference.

many thanks Patrick, do you by any chance have pics from the other side (not dark side!), so he can see where in the bearing housing its drilled?
