Default 3-liter Turbo w/S2 block

A friend has a 3-liter s2 block and we are going to build a turbo car from it. I know about the 2.7L head and we have one already.

What compression ratio? 8.0, 8.5
Where to get the pistons
Which turbo (probably already have the answer to this too K27/7200 is about right)
Who is making chips?

Try HMR in south Florida for a piston set.
Some good info here.

HMR usually sells the 16 valve pistons and with the 2.7 head, you need the 2 valve pistons. You might be able to find a set of 104.5mm over size pistons. There are other options as well.
I would suggest you also port on the 944 turbo boards as there are plenty that are going this route.

Go onto the 944turbo forum. There's too much info not to use SEARCH there.

I am going to do the same build. I plan on running the 2.7 head with a stock-thickness or slightly thicker headgasket. The 2.7 head on the 3.0 block is said to yield a CR of just under 9:1. I will use this with a k26/8 or similar turbo, and stock pistons. I might do some light grinding on the valve reliefs to smooth out the edges but nothing dramatic. My power goals are a "mild" 300-325hp.
