Default Detailing question for Steve

Steve, I'm curious, what do you do for detailing the windshield washer squirters on the hood? They always seem to pick up some wax. How do you make them look nice and black? Thanks

Best thing to clean them is simple green and a toothbrush...I use Meguiar's All Purpose Cleaner, but Simple Green will work and it's readily available. You want to dilute it 15:1 (H20/Simple Green) and wipe any overspray off the paint quickly. Then, you could tape them off with blue painter's tape when you're polishing and or waxing. I've got a pretty steady hand, so I don't bother. To darken them up, you could use a dressing like Meguiar's #40 or 303 Aerospace. Hope that helps,

Steve
