Default Porsche 968- ?G44 or G50 transmission

Did 968s have the G44 transmission from 1992-1993, then the G50 transmission beginning in 1994? A post on the PCA website from Bill Burris states all 94 968s had G50 transmissions.
If I have a G50 transmission, then I should be able to use a cup car LSD.
Is there anyway for me to check if my 94 968 has a G50 transmission?

All manual 968s are G44, but they run the same differential as the G50 transmission, thus the confusion.

So I get it straight, the Cup car diff will fit in the 968 with a G44 transmission
