Drove up and down the east coast looking for the first one before finally finding it outside Pittsburgh.
2nd one flew to NC to check it out and flew back a week later to pick it up. Never book a one way ticket within 24 hours of the flight- Security really does not like that.

The timing belt and counterbalance belt were changed 2 years ago along with waterpump and upgraded 134 ac. The cam chain and pads haven't been done yet. Sad thing is.... it still has the original shocks. Koni's and 30mm front bar will be installed soon(BS SCCA Autox) Oh and I did find this car 15 miles from my house.

Wow, Kevin, that's awesome. Have you pulled the valve cover to look at the pad and chain? If not, I would, that's an item that can break and cause a headache. If you do a search of the regular 944 board, many have said to upgrade the rear bar if you're not doing both, instead of the front, to counteract the understeer....I did both at the same time, but run a search, it's some interesting reading!

My mom and I both found our 968s on craigslist. Both had over 150k miles, and both were in great shape inside and out. Each one was under $10k. They needed a bit of freshening-up and some maintenance, but they're good solid cars.

If you're going to spend money in the neighborhood of $13k+, you better get something with low mileage, in very good shape, and with colors and features you WANT. Like Steve's car.

FR, I'm still looking for a Horizon Blue coupe, feel free to tell your mom if she ever decides to sell, I'll be ready to buy.

Lord Galva, best of luck in your recovery and your search!

Regards,
