No, I stuck with 8 valve since it a turbo S replica. If I had to build one from scratch, I would use a 16 valve head.
The S2 head was used on George's car. When I drove both, I preferred the torque on my engine compared to his.

Trevor, things must be really hectic for you since it was this spring not last
I am sure we will get together again. I met some other folks so it was still fun.

Hey guys, I'm in the middle of building new cams for the 968/s2 head. They are brand new from billets and not welded cams. I chose to do away with the chain drive and I built custom adjustable gears to drive each cam. Its still the same factory crank gear and exhaust cam gear tooth count but two smaller pullies between the two cams to drive them 1 to 1.
All three gears are adjustable to get the max hp/torque out of the head. Its not a cheap setup but if your looking for max performance, drop me a pm.

I can make cams for more stock applications but the costs are very high. As I would have to redraw and engineer a new pulley setup. Those costs can be up to $5k complete, cams and drive setup.

No, my cam gears are not Honda gears modded to fit. The problem with the Honda/aftermarket gears are that they need to be small in diameter so they don't hit the hood. Then when you make them small, the crank gear gets very small and then you run the chance of skipping the belt. I was told this by someone who has made many of these conversions.
The ones I am making are engineered to work different. The gears are adjustable to the crank and to each other. I will post pics when I get them installed tested and tuned.
The second thing to note is that the stock exhaust cam used in a twin cam setup is way to small. Unless you weld and grind on the cam or make it from new billets, you can not get any real lift out of them. The when go with a ground cam, it is far more weak than a new ground billet. There is no way you can trust that your welds are perfect. unless you are a robot, lol..
