Default Need some input!

Hey guys,
I just bought a 968 in the last few months and when I am searching for suspension I can't seem to find a matching set. What I mean is if I search for Koni I can find the fronts but not the rears, vice versa for bilstein. Know of anywhere that I can get this solved? The car doesn't NEED it but I want to upgrade it.

Best,
Aaron

ps. pics to come.

Thats weird. I went through AJUSA and I was able to order both fronts and rear konis.
http://www.ajusa.com/
I use them for name brands stuff like koni, bosch, and K&N.

I also recommend calling Jason at Paragon. He owns a factory 968 Turbo and Chuck who is also at Paragon has a 968 daily driver. Both of them are great about going out to the parking lot to look at their cars when I have a strange question. Jason spends many weekends on the track, he knows his suspension.

KW sells a complete coilover setup which I really like. Completely adjustable damping and rebound rates for the shocks, and the height adjustment is a plus. The worst part about installing it was dialing back the factory torsion bars to get the full adjustment range on the rear.

With the koni's do you have to do any mods to the front end to make them fit. I thought that was one of the draw backs to them? TIA.

Sounds like you don't want to do any mods. Both the Koni and Bilstein require a one time mod to existing front struts. Konis are most straightforward. I think Paragon even exchanges modded struts. It requires cutting the top off, dumping the guts, drilling a hole in the bottom and bolting the Koni fast. As for Bilstein, cut an inch off of the top. Cut 2 inches off the top of a jetta or 924 strut and press it in an inch and weld it fast. Then use Bilstein inserts for a pre 86 944.

thanks for the ajusa website I was able to find both front and rear. I'm still not sure if I want to mess with the cutting and everything. Might do other things for now. Who knows.

Thanks,
Aaron
