Default ask the experts...(engine dies - RV)

Can anyone tell me the the range of height on a lowered 968 at the wheel wells.

I am having continued quitting problems with the 968. I am on the track or in the paddock and the car will just quit like you turned the key off. There is no power to the green wire on the coil for ~20 seconds and then the power to the green wire comes back on???????????? I have replaced the dme relay as well as the fuel pump with no change. Any idea here?

Thanks, Mike

Mike - have you swapped out the actual control unit itself (DME, not the relay)?

Sounds like its heat related. As suggested by Tim, it could be bad joints/soldering on the ECU. The vibrations over the yrs can effect your ECU. I think Rich Glickel had a similar problem with his ECU.

I have not replaced the DME. Yes, i do agree it's heat related. The real strange part is power to the coil is gone and then back in 20 seconds. How much is a used DME? Does anyone have the instructions on reading the codes thru the lashing lights?

Mike, do you have an owner's manual? I would recommend you get one. You can often find it in CD format.
