Three Wheelin'
The corrosion is behind the spring plates, they need to be removed to get at it....removing them is akin to taking out your own kidney....hence the rebuild option is a good one!

Is there anyone local who can help with this? Vacaville, CA 95688
BTW I visited my mechanic Mon. and he said the front sway is bent, so now is a perfect time to upgrade to MO30 sways.
Just checked Pelican and it looks like that runs $532 with free shipping.
It comes with all the bushings, the 30mm front, and 19mm rear.
I'll probably pick it up after I'm done with the electical (rotor, distributor, coil) and a new O2 sensor. Then the car will be upto date. Finally.

Just as an FYI, here's a complete list of 968 M030 parts: http://www.weissach.net/968_M030-Option.html
Karl.
PS: Its 'M030', not 'MO30'

I love this guy. I really wish I lived closer because I would apprentice on my days off. So yes I do recommend and seeing how close he is to you, go for it.

I've been going to Modderman and have been very happy with him.
However, there's a better than 50% chance we'll buy a house in Campbell in the next few months and obviously someone closer (and who's recommended) would be great.

If you haven't already found them, here is the link for Sunset Imports in Oregon: http://www.sunsetimports.com/infohour.php?&search=ppa
They provide Porsche parts at 15% over cost, plus shipping, to out of state customers. I have had good success getting parts from them.

Wow! I just got a quote back from Sunset and what a savings!
The swaybar upgrade to M030 from Pelican runs $516.
Sunset runs $367 with shipping.
So basicly I'm saving $150.
Can't get more Jewish than that.
