The black one is nice as well. There are quite a number of 968's here in the Phoenix metro area.

I'm not sure of the history of this car but, as you know, rear deck windows on the 968 are very expensive...and a cheap alternative is to install the 944/951 deck lid. If fact, I bought a "just in case" 951 rear deck and glass just in case my were to ever break. The glass is the same but a PITA to change frames but it can be done.

From what I understand, a new glass hatch from Porsche is $4-6k. I have seen used 968 hatches go for about $1k on ebay and at salvage yards.

As far as using the 944 glass and putting a 968 frame and wing on it, I don't know if it is a simple bolt on application.

944 rear glass doesn't look bad, guess you can use it to get the car cheaper!

Last 968 hatch glass I heard of was $5,500 (glass is not sold separately). Better hope it's an insurance case if you break one. If you have one of the cheaper 968s, this will will come close to "totaling" it if you add one or two more dents.

I've seen directions on replacing glass. It's not for the faint of heart and it is a lot of tedious work. 968 hatch frame is quite fragile. Close it carefully to minimize delamination of glass....another PITA to fix.
