Pinion Bearing Noise
#17
I just got back from visiting my mechanic/tuner, "Exotic Motorwerks" here in Phoenix, AZ. He said that it sounds like the pinion bearing is going. So, my next question is who's the best person to work on this issue. I have done several searches and come up with the following people -
Bobby Hart of California Motorsport at 928-855-5755
http://www.californiamotorsports.net/
roger@californiamotorsports.net
Russ Kelso of PMCI (Performance MotorCar Investments) in Corrales, New Mexico. 800 437-7624 pmciinc@comcast.net
If anyone has any other information or sources I should consider I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
Scott

hi to all (this is my first post)
I have a 968 CS with M030 and torsen (obviously green).
I hear the same kind of noise, though not too loud, but not only under load when decelerating, but also when accelerating between 50-75 mph. Then, above 75 mph it subsides or maybe overcome by wind and/or tyre noise.
Is it definitely the pinion bearing?
thanks
