Actually Ernie I used to own the Club Sport when I lived in the UK...tried importing it into the states when I moved back but there was absolutely no way since 968s in the states have airbags and the CS doesnt making 110% a no go.

Pretty hard to understand that an air bag will stop those CS from being register in the states when there is thousand of cars driving on puplic road without them.Rigth now in Canada the only Province you woudn't be able to register a CS will be Quebec (If the car was rigth wheel drive not because it's none air bag) I think but not sure they banne them last year. But if the car was register prior to that you can still plate it.

Ernie the issue is not whether it has airbags or not, the issue is that the same model car when originally sold in the US DID have airbags, so you cant import one that doesn't have them. If I would have tried to import a regular 968 with airbags it would have been a non issue, (or any other model that didnt have airbags when sold in the US) although I would have had to change the head lights, speedo etc. Oh and yes, mine was left hand drive.

As far as I know nobody has a road legal club sport in the US.

Fox, here's a pic of the RS2 before the lowered suspension. Didnt do much to that car, it already had a Miltek exhaust when I bought it so after that it was only lowered suspension and new shocks, poly bushings, a chip (which made a huge difference to low down torque and turbo lag), and new brake pads. Wonderful car for cruising and sweeping country roads! Even managed to move ALL the stuff from my apartment in one go.

I love RS2s!

I've always wondered, are the RS2 wheels actually Porsche Cup 1s, or just a similar design?

IIRR wheels, mirrors and brakes are directly from Porsche parts bin.

Funny anecdote about the parts on my RS2...buying brake pads at the Audi dealership was actually almost twice as expensive as buying them at the Porsche one!

Nice cars Joska.

jp951, I love that rs2, and the 968CS. I have a regular 968 and a B4 Audi 90, the closest I can get to your two cars here in USA. I'm amazed how well the B4 handles, in some cases better than the 968.

Gmund Cars has both a nice CS and an RS2 for sale. They mention the RS2 has 964 RS 'style' alloys-I wonder if they mean regular Cup 1s, or are they the RS magnesium grail wheels?

Unless the wheels were swaped, RS2's did not come with magnesium wheels.

They have Porsche teardrop sideviews, 17" wheels, brakes. Porsche also tuned the 227HP I-5 to 315BHP, tuned the suspension, and designed the upgraded body work (bumpers, etc).

That tuning by Porsche on the RS2 was pretty extensive, different turbo, intake, cams, exhaust manifold, etc etc. Such a sweet engine! Wish someone would have used it in something mid engine...
