Default Spring centered clutch for 968?

Hi all,

I'm looking for a spring centered clutch for my 968 racer. While I prefer a Sachs clutch, they don't manufacture a spring-centered clutch for the 968 (they DO make one for the 951, but not apparently for the 968).

I've been experiencing difficulties with the Sachs 968 clutch, so I'm looking for something else but so far haven't had any success. E.g., the Lindsey Racing 968 clutch is a Sachs clutch that Lindsey modifies by adding kevlar and carbon - but, it's not a spring centered clutch.

Alternatively, if I could find a clutch where the center spleen is one-piece machined with the disc, versus 2-pieces where the spleen is laser welded to the disc (I've been breaking the clutch at the center around that circumference weld), that would work too. But, I can't find a clutch that is made that way.

Thanks.

as far as i know, there is no spring centered clutch to fit the factory or fidanza flywheels - clearance of the mounting bolts is the problem - working on a solution to that very issue right now

I read a write-up where someone was putting a chevy engine in their 928, and didn't want to buy the Renegade kit. They found that a particular Chrysler clutch had the exact same spline pattern and diameter as the 928 driveshaft, and the exact same disc diameter as the chevy flywheel. So maybe you can find some random clutch that fits your application by looking at other manufacturers. I wouldn't know the best way to actually conduct that search though.
