Front Valance grill replacement..?
The black mesh grill behind the bumper in front of my 968 is cracked. Thus creating a weird smiley face effect. Are replacement grills available ? Do I need to remove the enitre front bumber panel to replace it...? Same questions for the black plastic in front bumper for tow hook ..? Thanks for your help.. Deano

968engineering sells alternative replacement grilles for these applications. The site also provides installation instructions which should be of help to you.

Someone has noted that the headlights provide easier access to some of the bumper cover mounting screws than is noted in the 968engineering .pdf linked above:

the piece in front of the tow hook just pops out - little tabs to release - easy to do from the outside
front bumper cover removal is less than 20 minutes - not sure if you can get everything from underneath without removal, and seem to remember a couple that were inaccesssible, but frankly, once you're removed the lower front apron, you're only 10 screws from being done removing the whole thing
sunset sells OEM replacement grilles for about 80 bucks

Other places for replacement parts for your 968 are Auto Atlanta (for new with online parts lists), DC Auto (used with onoline parts lists) and Paragon.
I have used these places extensively with few problems.

i had to remove my front bumper cover this weekend.
not a fun job by any stretch.
i was working on my headlights and had my lenses pulled all the way forward.
i noticed that two of the screws that hold the bumper cover in place to the front fender are pretty easily accessible from the headlamp hole. there's a third one that's right by the tire. then the four by the hood latch and many in the belly pan in front.
the last time i took it off, i reached up from under the car and it was very awkward. i thought this way was a little easier. End Quote
